Ruth trained as a journalist with Westminster Press and worked freelance for many years before having a family. She wrote on a broad range of issues including the dangers of quad bikes and a woman who needed hypnotherapy to stop blinking for Take A Break.
Turning her hand to fiction, Ruth completed the Faber Writing a Novel course, a turning point in her life.
Just before this, she self-published her first work, The Ring of Gilly Wood, which was shortlisted for the Rubery Book Award.
A dedicated writer, Ruth is passionately interested in people and the countryside and these are reflected in her narrative.
Ruth was born on a farm in Sussex and now lives in Tunbridge Wells in Kent.
